“I have a special ability to see beauty in everything around me, and an immense desire to create beauty with my own hands. It was this that ultimately led me to the art of jewellery.”

Even as a child, I was fascinated by the illustrations in an old book about jewellery-making. I could never have imagined then that one day I would master this enchanting craft myself. At the time, I was studying painting and dreamed of becoming an artist. Yet it was during those years that a love for jewellery began to take root in my heart, and the image of that book has remained with me ever since.

My first education was in art and painting, at the College of Applied Arts. I then continued my studies in Art History at university. Yet despite this, I continued searching for my true calling, travelling throughout Europe.

During my many journeys to Italy, I was captivated by the work of Italian jewellers and by the rich artistic heritage of this remarkable country. Gradually, the desire to master the craft myself grew stronger and stronger.

Perhaps there are things that are simply meant to find us. No matter how long the journey may seem, sooner or later it leads us to the place towards which the heart has been drawn from the very beginning. Everything we encounter along the way becomes part of our experience, helping us to understand ourselves more deeply and bringing us closer to the work we are truly meant to do.

And so I discovered a jewellery school in Prague. During my studies, I quickly mastered the fundamental techniques, yet the traditional styles did not fully reflect my inner world. I wanted to find my own artistic language — to create jewellery in which my individuality could reveal itself. This marked the beginning of my search for new techniques, forms and textures.

I had always wanted to express my natural sensitivity to colour and my love of drawing through jewellery. This was why the ancient technique of cloisonné enamel felt like a true revelation. It offered me a way to bring together drawing, colour and form, transforming each piece into a small work of art.

When we genuinely desire something, life seems to begin opening the right doors for us.

That is exactly what happened to me. Fate brought me to Tbilisi — a city where the traditions of the ancient art of cloisonné enamel have been carefully preserved. Captivated by this land and its culture, I felt that here I could truly discover and develop my craft.

It was here that the name of my brand, Omalgami, was born.

It was not found in a dictionary, but emerged intuitively — like an alchemical fusion of meanings that cannot be translated literally.

Several ideas came together in this name:

• Om — the sound of beginnings, the primordial impulse, the breath of creation;
• alga — movement, growth and continuous evolution;
• mi — a personal signature, a reminder that every piece passes through my hands, my experience and my attentive eye.

Omalgami is more than a name.

It is an inner formula, a symbol of alchemy — a place where love of art, craftsmanship and human stories come together as one.

After learning the foundations of enamelwork, I spent several more years refining my skills as an apprentice in Tbilisi.

It was there that my first collection, Depth, was born, inspired by the mysteries and enchantment of the deep sea. For me, it became a metaphor for an inner journey — a descent into oneself, a search for identity, and the beginning of a new chapter in my creative life.

The next important milestone was my first solo exhibition, Enjoy the Silence, held in Tbilisi on 20 October 2015. It was the first time the Depth collection was presented to the public as a complete artistic narrative — a quiet dialogue between light, colour and metal.

In 2016, I returned to Prague and opened my own jewellery studio, Omalgami, where I continue to create each piece by hand and to refine my craft every day.

Nature remains my greatest source of inspiration — its harmony, the tectonics of its forms, its rhythms and its colours.

Architecture, travel and human stories add depth and context, transforming jewellery into carriers of memory and meaning.

Each Omalgami piece is created at the meeting point of the material and the spiritual — where craftsmanship meets inner experience.

I create jewellery beyond time and seasons: pieces not made for a display cabinet, but for life. Personal talismans designed to accompany their wearer through the meaningful stages of their journey.
